Digging Razor Clams
The Definative Field Guide
There is nothing quite like summer at the Oregon Coast. My fondest life memories come from cool early mornings standing in Seaside, Oregon’s summer surf. It's low tide, I have my waders on, my clam shovel in hand, and I’m just taking my time looking up at the beautiful blue cloudless sky. To my left the mornings fog is completing its roll off of Tillamook Head. I look down into the surf and there they are, razor clams necking in the surf, just ripe for the taking! I scurry picking them out of the sand and tossing those beautiful Oregon Coast delicacies into my bag.
