Mocrocks Beach

Mocrocks Beach extends from the Copalis River to Moclips, just south of the Quinault Indian Reservation. There are three different areas that provide access to drive onto the beach. Although this is a small community it is only 15 miles from Ocean Shores. There you can find many activities including a casino, restaurants, tourist attractions and charter fishing.

Mocrocks Beach Openings Schedule Frequently Change

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife usually schedules open Razor Clamming dates a few weeks or a few months in advance. But these are generally tentative and can change. After that, the WDFW frequently does biotoxin level tests and based on these results scheduled openings can change. Sometimes the day before a dig. This isn’t that much of a inconvenience for locals, but can make things difficult for visitors. So, always check prior to going.

In addition, local residences providing input and advice, and ongoing information from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife websites.  Information will change as incoming seas tend to shift and move sand, after that it makes it harder for clams to reproduce. So always check for current beach closures and advisories related to biotoxins, pollution or other human health concerns the same day you plan to harvest.
